Why Numerint?

With a single click, Numerint will export all, or a selection of, the files that have been attached to your Xero accounting items. Our solution allows Xero users to take full and incremental file backups of their financial documents independently of Xero, as recommended in their own Terms and Conditions.

Attachments are downloaded in their original format (e.g. PDF, JPG, XLS), using a useful and relevant naming convention, and bundled into a single ZIP archive. Associated accounting data is included as a CSV file. This ensures that you will be able to access your records on any device in the future without any subscriptions or special software.

After several years we've learned from customers that they use Numerint for many reasons:

Backups.

Full and incremental backup copies of files outside of the Xero platform.

Full backups capture all attached files. This could mean tens of thousands of files representing gigabytes of critical business data. Incremental backups capture only the new files since the last backup.

Frequent backups will satisfy compliance, but they also bring peace of mind.

Numerint allows customers to be selective and specify a date range and the type of files they wish to backup.

Migrations.

This typically happens during divestments or mergers and acquisitions. When moving to another accounting system such as Sage, QuickBooks, iPlicit, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, customers will want to extract copies of all their files to load into the target system.

Numerint can automate migration by applying custom naming conventions to exported files. Numerint also provides a CSV file containing comprehensive information about the files (e.g. date, contact, total, currency, account codes, tracking options etc.) thus aiding migration automation further.

Business Workflows.

Some customers routinely export their files as part of packaging up all the accounting assets related to projects and customer engagements. Numerint regularly runs customised jobs to help teams organise their files by aspects such as Xero Tracking Options or Account Codes. This makes integration with their own workflows easier, such as the collation of bills and receipts.

Closure.

Planned closures or liquidations result in customers shutting down their Xero subscriptions. They are likely shutting down everything, including email services, bank services, phone contracts and the sorts of things necessary to regain access to a Xero subscription in the future.

Governments around the world require that businesses keep financial records for anywhere between five and ten years. Having a simple ZIP archive of all the files and accompanying data about those files ensures any inspections far in the future are easy to manage and avoid back taxes and penalties.
